I wanted to represent how society expects women and how women often feel pressured to live up to society's standard. I also wanted to show women that have overcome and defied some of society standards. On the outside of the mask, It is me trying to fit into society's expectations but I have cracked under the pressure of trying to fit in. Often the standards are very high and unreasonable and the cracks represent me not being able to live up to them in all aspects of life. On the inside it is inspiring women that have overcome the standards. These women have made it acceptable to not perfectly be what society expects. I wanted this mask to show people that I look up to and inspire to be like, that have made me feel comfortable with not fitting into all of society's expectations.
